A crisp and invigorating blend of eucalyptus, bayberry, and rosemary that creates a fresh top note. The heart of the fragrance is a rich combination of pine, cypress, and fir, evoking the essence of a lush forest. As the scent settles, the base notes of pink peppercorn and cedar add a warm and spicy dimension.

Hi there. I wanted to take a minute and write a post about this fragrance oil. I ordered a bunch of 2 oz fall/winter fragrance oils, I'm planning for the holiday season and adding to my growing inventory of scents (100+ FO I work off) I saw a lot of comments about this scent smelling like fish... For the record I know what to expect out of a bottle vs pouring vs cold throw vs hot throw vs curing, ect... I did all this with this fragrance oil, and it still smells like smoked salmon, I live in the Pacific NW and definitely know what fish smells like, I even grew up on a local fish hatchery as a kid. I also had other people smell this scent after cured... Half said it smelled like fish and the other half said it smelled like ozone type, coolish scent and very light. I believe there is definitely a "covid nose" issue here for many of us who smell fish with scent, seriously. I have a large selection of cured candles I've made all with different fo's and this is the only one that hits my olfactory way off. Personal conclusion: Some will smell fish; some will smell no fish at all.
I have to throw my two sense in here because this scent is absolutely amazing and was a top seller during the winter months and I'm flabbergasted by bad reviews however, different strokes for different folks. I use a soy/paraffin blend wax, as we all know, fragrance oils behave differently in different kinds of waxes and soaps. I had customers request me to keep it on permanently, but I decided to make it a comebacker - give a reason for customers to return in the wintertime for a tried and true and beloved scent. I personally do not love pine scents, I can appreciate a good one I just don't love burning them in my house, yet I love this scent. The eucalyptus really adds a crispness to this scent that smells so crisp and fresh just like a cold winter night...near some freshly cut pine trees. There is 100% pine coming through in this scent too, pine is strong and it's strong in this oil, so if you're sensitive to it or don't like it, be aware. All in all, beautiful scent that seems to be a year-round craving but hands down gorgeous for winter time.
I get ALL of my fragrance oils from BW and always very pleased. I had purchased some really pretty blue vessels and wanted a wintery fragrance. Chose this and whew, I want to burn my house down and start over. It was hard to deal with while brewing and I thought it would be different once the candles have set. But they are still throwing a very pungent and weird smell. I really can't describe it. I try to keep all of my customers happy by providing a variety of aromas. I'm going to have to just give these away and hope someone likes the smell because I don't feel comfy selling. I should've went with red berry garland😩. Lost money on this run.
I was making kaleidoscope soap with this FO. I'd just used the same recipe twice prior within the same day, so I'm 100% this was the fragrance and not the recipe. The recipe is made to be slow moving. 1300 g of oil - olive oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, mango butter, and coconut oil. You can blend the heck out of this recipe and it's not going to get thick unless you soap above 120. With Bayberry Cypress, I soaped about 108F. When the FO was added to the batter, you could straight up SEE the batter accelerating as the FO hit it. It was pretty neat, but also a big ol' uh-oh moment.
Not sure about this whole "fishy" thing, I think some of you are suffering from a bad batch, or you have Covid nose. This scent, straight out of the bottle smells like the forest scene in Soarin' over California, at California Adventure Disney Parks. My daughter also pointed out that it smelled like camphor, probably the eucalyptus. I have not made candles yet, but straight out of the bottle I smell pine, camphor, and a sweet-tart scent, like winter berries. No fish.
